Nader’s Biography

Nader (1969 - 1987)

" The Beginning - Bahrain"

In Manama, on the shores of a small island, Nader was born in May 1969.

Grew up in a family that shared a deep-rooted love of music. Nader's parents provided great support for the young boy, he grew up learning music by ear from his father who played the Arabic lute. Additionally, he learnt playing other instruments from his uncles.

At a very young age his mother saw him play on a small Piano toy, she noticed him play differently than other babies. Instead of bashing on the Piano toy like most other, she saw him play melodies by picking or selecting specific key tones on the Piano. At the age of five he began to play the accordion and xylophone. As a child, Nader heard music in his head, he simply wanted to hear it come out from his accordion.

A young talent rising

At the age of 9, Nader formed his first band consisting of 4 members to play for local wedding parties, but it was rejected by his father fearing that it could affect his educations.

Nader did not give up on the idea of forming the band and promised his father that he would improve in school and his education if he would allow him to form the band.

While he was in the primary school, Nader was honoured to be selected due to his talent to play along secondary school students in front of His Highness Sheikh Essa the ruler of Bahrain and Queen Elizabeth in an event for the school.

The Future Band

At the age of 14, Nader left his first band and started playing with another local band "The Future Band". The talents in the band led Nader to leave his former band.

Nader continuously improved with his school grades and at the same time with his music.

The love and passion for music led Nader to focus on his school grades which resulted him being one of the top 10 in Bahrain in his high school.

Nader (1987 - 1992)

“The continuation to learn music”

In 1987, with the encouragement of his parents, Nader started learning classical music and joined the Bahraini Classical Institute for about 2 years, he learnt play classical music and started reading musical notes.

Nader could not continue with the classical institute as he suddenly falls in love with Progressive Rock music!

He got influenced by Keith Emerson of ELP and Eddie Jobson of UK and some other Progressive Rock groups.

He started listening to their music on daily basis, then he started to learn their music techniques.

In 1989, Nader joined a Bahraini Progressive Rock Band called Osiris. Nader saw the band performing in one of the concerts and was amazed by their performance and wanted to join them.

The band needed a keyboard player, and he was honoured to join them.

Then the passion of playing on different synths was his prime focus, Nader always depended on a specific sound to compose music. In his opinion, any composition requires a unique sound to be selected to bring out the context of the musical composition.

Having listened to great keyboard players and the sounds they used, he started to learn how to programme those sounds.

In 1991, Nader performed a live concert with Osiris band in Diplomat hotel where he played his first ever progressive rock music.

Between 1990 and 1992, he joined his friends in a recording studio and started arranging, performing, and recording for local bands, singers, and some TV programmes.

He developed his own musical style using both vintage and modern synthesizers to create new sounds.

Despite being happy with his music carrier, Nader had to leave all of that and travel abroad to study.

Nader (1993 - 1994)

“Skies - The Cloudy Days”

Nader had to leave his homeland and travel all the way to Scotland to learn flying and study aviation in British Aerospace College.

It was a game changer for him, part of him was happy and the other part was sad.

It was sad for him as he knew that he had to leave his music and would have limited time to play and practice music.

Music is everything for him, but he could not afford to live and continue by just playing music.

While studying aviation he could not stay away from his keyboard, so he took with him his keyboard and played music in the spare time.

He managed to compose 10 new tracks while he was studying, many of his friends encouraged him to release the music but he never did. He was not convinced to release them, he thought the compositions were incomplete.

Nader graduated in 1994, returned to his homeland and started working for a commercial airline as pilot.

He knew that his future would be in music, but he could not know when.

Nader (1995 - 2000)

“The new beginning”

In 1995, Nader started his aviation job and at the same time some of his close musician friends offered him to join and partnership with them to start a commercial studio.

In his spare time, Nader started to record and arrange music for multiple clients. He arranged/composed music for children’s play, TV programmes and for some local singers.

He was not satisfied with the commercial music and always wanted to compose non-commercial music.

The idea of the first album came to him, he wanted to compose an international music. A music that all can understand and enjoy.

The first album Aqua Agon was a work in progress, it was his starting skitch if you like. It needed additional work to be completed.

Nevertheless, it was released in year 2000 as an incomplete work in his opinion but many fans loved it to a point, his music album was heard and played in few TV programmes and shopping stores without his permission.

Few years later the studio partnership got broken, Nader decided to build his own studio at his home.

With the support of his wife and children, Nader single-mindedly continued to pursue his passion for creating music. It took him some time to save money and build his home studio.

He explored the worlds of electronic music, new sounds, and composition. Nader continued composing new music but again it never got released due to limited time he had while working with the airline.
